Volunteers
ETEC frequently have opportunities for volunteers wishing to gain, update or maintain experience and skills.
Some examples of previous volunteer opportunities have included toy library support workers, reception and administration work, tutor support, health and safety support, and ICT technical assistance. Some volunteers have used tutor support placements as an opportunity to accumulate teaching hours for PTLLS and CTLLS qualifications.
We are always looking for volunteers for our Fitness Suite for any types of work from simple supervision to instructors.
No previous experience is required for any of our placements but a sound grasp of maths and English would be an advantage but not an essential. Training would be provided in areas where skills need to be updated.
There are no maximum or minimum number of hours worked for volunteers but we would expect an agreement on days and times for attendance so that work can be scheduled.
Due to the nature of our work it may mean that you will need to submit for Enhanced Disclosure (CRB) checks if you could be working with young or vulnerable people
