Entry to Employment (E2E)

Entry to Employment (E2E) is designed to help young learners (16 to 19) develop their motivation, confidence, personal effectiveness, basic and key skills.

The work-based programme gives them a range of opportunities to gain vocational knowledge, skills and understanding.

The majority of learners, who attend E2E at ETEC, have difficulties in their lives which they have to overcome on a daily basis.

How to get plastered the ETEC way

This is how to get properly plastered while learning and working.  Why not give it a try?

Staff help learners to break down barriers and progress into employment, apprenticeships or further education.

All learners on E2E work towards three areas of learning:

  • Life Skills
  • Personal and Social Development, which includes mentoring, advice and guidance
  • Vocational Development

Construction Routeway

The construction Routeway programme was designed for learners aged 16 to 19 to give them experience in various building trades.

These trades include bricklaying, joinery, plumbing and painting and decorating to name just a few.

Most of the learners gain work experience while on the

programme, in addition to receiving training, information, advice and guidance from qualified members of staff.

Our highly qualified construction staff also help with protective equipment and clothing, work placements and tasters as well as CSCS card training.

Skills For Life

As part of the e2e programme learners are given the opportunity to improve their literacy and numeracy skills and practice these skills in modules relating to their occupational area.

Tutors use a mixture of practical, e-learning and traditional teaching methods to give learners an engaging, informal and comfortable atmosphere to work in, using a wide variety of occupationally based, good quality, relevant and up-to-date resources.

Learners are encouraged and supported to develop skills to their fullest potential by following the Core Curricula for Adult Literacy and Numeracy, which can lead to achieving nationally recognised qualifications.
