As part of the recruitment for the Future Jobs Fund our contact centre advertised
vacancies for Customer Service Operatives.
These vacancies are aimed at giving applicants on the job experience and training within a contact centre environment which will enable them to go on and begin a career within the industry once they leave us. The successful applicants work 25 hours per week at the national minimum wage for a period of 26 weeks. Whilst employed they undertake a number of different tasks including inbound and outbound telephone calls. As well as the practical work experience our employees are encouraged and given the opportunity to enhance their qualifications by completing NVQ’s in customer service and certificates in basic skills such as literacy, numeracy and ICT. Since recruitment began in mid November the Contact Centre has employed 8 new advisors and a supervisor (some of whom are pictured above with the Contact Centre Co-ordinator, Paul Coxon). Recruitment is set to be ongoing and another intake of new employees will take place in the new year and will continue until the Future Jobs Fund scheme comes to an end in April 2011. |
