  • Provide support and information for assessors, inform us about changes and developments, help us to gain new skills needed.
Weaknesses:
  • Possibly a standardisation of the contract
  • Too many non related NVQ meetings to attend
  • Allocation of time for assessing
Areas for Development (Discussed verbally during meeting after the evaluations):
  • Updated training for assessment tools and equipment
  • Dummy files to view of what is good practice and be able to show new candidates.
  • Standardisation of CAR and CPER forms
  • Examples of reflective journals/diaries and what to include so can start of learners with these at the beginning of the NVQ
  • Include testing, peer support, dummy files and training needs as part of initial assessment for candidates.
  • Professional Discussion training revisited.
  • Include MAYTAS system and use of digital media as part of initial assessment and induction for all new learners/ candidates
  • Packs of the electronic handouts from previous training sessions on the ETEC website
  • 6 monthly practice and training of the MAYTAS system
